At the end of each Spring, our HQ sees a winding up, rather than a rounding down. With the bustling festive season ahead, we take some time to reflect on the season and the many memories created.
Please enjoy the below photo essay of our past spring season of experiences with guests…from the guides’ perspective.
Warm regards,

Cheersing to a wonderful year that was and the new year that was looming coming! Guests enjoying our iconic Gourmet Picnic within Cape Point National Park

On the very rare occasion, a rogue baboon can’t say no to our cheese and charcuterie selection! The picnic might be ruined, but the guests were certainly entertained. A stark reminder of why we should never feed wild animals. This baboon’s behaviour is a direct result of past interactions with tourists. Let’s keep wildlife wild.

When the conditions are right, you’ll see a flutter of paragliders dancing on the wind above Signal Hill.

Our Commitment to Conservation: Protecting the African Penguin.
The African Penguin, a beloved symbol of Cape Town, faces a critical threat of extinction within the next decade. At African Lynx, we’re passionate about safeguarding this iconic species and believe that every visitor can contribute to their survival.
We’ve implemented a conservation levy of R600 on all bookings, which allows guests to adopt and name a wild African penguin through the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB), a vital organisation dedicated to their rehabilitation. This contribution directly supports the penguins’ food, veterinary care, and overall well-being, making a tangible difference in their fight for survival.
